St. Seraphim of Sarov Orthodox Church
872 N. 29th St. Boise, ID
an American parish of the Russian Orthodox Church
Welcome to Our Parish!

Welcome to St. Seraphim of Sarov Orthodox Church. We are an American mission parish of the Russian Orthodox Church. In our parish you will find Orthodox Christians from many different backgrounds. Of course there are Russians and Americans, however you will also find Serbs, Bulgarians, Romanians and others. Because we are a mission parish, our services are mostly in English, however, there is also some Slavonic as a remembrance of our ties to the Russian Church. We are under the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, headed by Metropolitan HILARION of New York and Eastern America. We are in the diocese of Western America under the pastoral rule of Archbishop KYRILL of San Francisco and Western America. We welcome your visit both here on our webpage and in person at our parish.

Russian Food Festival - CANCELED

We know that many of you were looking forward to the annual Russian Food Festival at St. Seraphim Orthodox Church.  We tried our best to put something together that would meet the pandemic guidelines and although we had a plan that we hoped would work, in the end it proved not to be feasible.  We hope to resume next spring as usual between Mother's day and Memorial Day. In the meantime if you need some great Russian food, hurry on over to our partner, Alyonka Russian Cuisine and support them through this difficult time.  We are trying to put together some specialty items for the holidays to be sold at the restaurant - so check in regularly.

This Week
9/21 - 9/27

Please be mindful of the ongoing challenges of the pandemic and practice social distancing by using all of the available space in the church and entry way.  Family groups should stand together.  In compliance with the county's order, masks should be worn while in the church.
